• President Trump’s remarks about using disinfectants to treat the virus caused an uproar, and the White House spent much of Friday trying to walk them back.
• Officials, corporations and doctors quickly issued an identical warning: Cleaning products are extremely dangerous to ingest, and no one should do so.
